Welcome to the Motivated Mom Blog! This is a site dedicated to helping any and every Mom shift from just surviving in motherhood, to actually thriving in motherhood. I’m Melina, the mom behind the blog. My goal is to help other moms like myself with tips and advice on all things motherhood. I am a single mom of 2 under 2 and I want to share what I’ve learned so far, what I’m learning as I go, connect with other moms, and share my journey and experiences as a mother.
I have a degree in Sociology and a background in Human Relations, Cultural Liaison, as well as Education. After leaving my job as a Special Education Elementary School Teacher for my first pregnancy and getting pregnant only 4 months postpartum, I decided that being at home with my children was the best and only choice for me. Now that I’ve taken that leap my next big step is pursuing my dream business, blogging! With a gut full of fear, a heart full of hope, and a mind full of vision, I am going after this thing!
Through my blog posts and motivational content on social media, I hope to empower, encourage, and motivate my fellow Moms all over the world. With all of the skills I’ve acquired, the wisdom and knowledge I’m gaining, and the Mom life hacks I’m learning, I pray that every Mom that comes across my content finds hope in knowing that YOU ARE NOT ALONE, and this CAN and WILL be done successfully. Thank you for being a major part of my journey!
About The Blog
My name is Melina Cabral and I am a single mom of two babies under the age of two. I am also a stay at home mom. I created this blog because I have been scouring the internet in search of helpful tips, perspectives, advice, and ideas to help me get through, survive, and eventually thrive, as a single stay at home mother of two children under two. I haven’t found much and most of what I’ve found was provided by a married woman with great or above average finances, and that is not me. Well at least not yet. I also found a bunch of stuff for single moms in general, but not much for single stay at home moms with 2 under 2 or that have multiple very young children.
In sharing my experiences on this journey of surviving life with 2 under 2 as a single mother, being a stay at home mom, being a new mom, and just motherhood in general, I hope to encourage, empower, and motivate moms because that is the main goal!
